Thank you to our generous #GivingTuesday matching sponsors.
This Giving Tuesday, let's do something big.
We're not a think tank. We're a do tank. And we get a lot done.
There are a number of great organizations doing important work in Greater Washington. But what the DMV desperately needs is one entity with the vision, resources, scale, and deep sector experience and relationships to harness and bind the capabilities and reach of industry, academia, government, and the nonprofit sector to deliver innovative solutions to some of our region's most complex problems, together.
That's where Connected DMV comes in. We bring together the region's collective assets and brightest minds to deliver initiatives that have the power to fundamentally reshape our physical, digital, economic, and social infrastructure to help the most vulnerable among us. We do it so that Greater Washington can live up to its promise and be the greatest place to live and work in the nation for everyone—from Anacostia to Georgetown and Oxon Hill to Arlington—no excuses.
Connected DMV isn’t just a convener. And, we’re not just about big, new ideas. We bring people together to deliver real-world solutions for real regional impact.
2021 Highlights
Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
This year, on Giving Tuesday, Connected DMV is doing something it has never done before: asking people just like you to imagine all that's possible when we work together—across sectors and across jurisdictional boundaries—to deliver the kind of big, bold initiatives that have the power to reshape our region into one where everyone can live, dream, and thrive regardless of zip code.
Every tax-deductible gift that you make will be doubled thanks to the generous support of our Giving Tuesday matching sponsors, The J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation and Booz Allen Hamilton. And every dollar will go towards our work to change what's possible in the DMV.
Your generous gift will help us do some pretty incredible things:
Prevent the next pandemic.
Prepare 10,000 women & people of color to join the quantum workforce by 2030.
Accelerate Greater Washington's clean energy hydrogen economy.
Improve economic mobility and decrease stark regional inequities for our most vulnerable neighbors.
Build an enduring body for collaboration and ideation made up of regional leaders from across academia, industry, the public sector, nonprofits, and philanthropy.
Help us do even more, now.
We know this work is ambitious. But, we have seen what's possible when we start thinking and delivering regionally. With your help, we can make sure that 2022 is an even bigger year for Connected DMV. And on this Giving Tuesday, your impact will be doubled.
