Monthly Highlights - December 2019

  • Conducted 10 Solution Group meetings in December culminating in the engagement of 348 solution group members representing 177 public, private, non-profit, and academic organizations in 2019 

  • Finalized the scope of the Social Inclusion Solution Group working committee defining regional accessibility standards for Connected DMV and named the effort “Accessibility for All”

  • Completed version 1.0 of the regional risk management framework and confirmed with the risk working committee of the Resilience & Sustainability Solution Group

  • Applied feedback from the region’s public sector Chief Information Officers on the Technical Architecture, Cybersecurity, Data Management, and Privacy principles 

  • Launched the Regional Connectivity & 5G Deployment working committee within the Connected Technologies Solution Group

  • Engaged collaboration partner leaders in a tour of the National Capital Region Threat Intelligence Consortium (NTIC) fusion center within DC’s Homeland Security & Emergency Management Agency

  • Conducted a meeting with the president of Gallaudet University to discuss the signing economy and areas of collaboration within Connected DMV 

  • Conducted a meeting with Children’s National Medical Center CEO and VP of Government Affairs and Community Relations to discuss digital health solutions and areas of collaboration within Connected DMV

  • Reviewed progress, direction, and funding needs with the BOT Board of Directors

  • Demonstrated Connected DMV integration and alignment with Military District of Washington at the Board of Trade Annual Meeting (Gen. Omar Jones remarks)

  • Demonstrated Connected DMV relevance and alignment in remarks by DC Councilmember Robert White at COG Annual Meeting
